Oh, Renner! You even remembered Ganesh's broken tusk! (You know how he broke it, don't you?)

I've read, but I can't remember at the moment. He's the patron of writers, of course, and it serves as a pen (the broken-off piece, I mean), if I remember correctly. Was it in the process of Vishnu's getting the elephant head for the boy's body?

Well, I think that what happened is this: Ganesh was walking home -- drunk -- one night, and he took exception to some aspect or action of the moon, broke off a tusk, and flung it at the offending orb.

I am sure I have mangled this terribly.
